Carol concert starts Christmas festivities at ÇéÉ«ÎåÔÂÌì
Last night, parents, staff and guests were treated to a feast of festive music and readings at the annual Carol Concert. The standard of musicianship was incredibly high, with superb performances from, amongst others, the two orchestras and four choirs. The programme ranged from Rutter to Tchaikovsky to Maria Carey and, amongst the music, carols and more traditional readings, Year 7 treated the audience to an excellent performance of 'Talking Turkeys' by Benjamin Zephaniah. An address by Christ Church Youth Minister Fiona Green brought the house down, and guests were served mulled wine and mince pies by the ÇéÉ«ÎåÔÂÌì Parents' Association. Congratulations to Miss Stevens, Mr Butterfield, the drama department and all the Music Prefects, students and Peripatetic teachers who served up such a high quality evening's entertainment.
