Students achieve accreditation with The Prince's Trust Awards
Well done to Learning Support Practitioner Sally Kirby on leading the first ever cohort of Year 11 students to achieve accreditation at Level 2 with the Prince's Trust programme.
Congratulations to former Year 11 students Harry, James, Nathan, Sasha and Abbie, who participated in a range of modules over a two-year period to achieve the Prince's Trust Level 2 Certificate in Personal Development and Employability Skills. This qualification recognises a breadth of personal skills, qualities and attitudes required by employers across a range of sectors. The modules undertaken comprised of Interpersonal and Self-Management Skills, Managing Money, Work Experience, Teamwork, Digital Skills and Undertaking an Enterprise Project, during which the students raised money in support of Sepsis Trust, Heads Together and Children in Need by making and selling wooden Santas at the ÇéÉ«ÎåÔÂÌì Christmas Fair. The students were successful in completing the course before lockdown began and credit should be given for the determination and commitment showed by the students to achieve this. We are sorry that the students were unable to receive their certificates in person, and we send our very best wishes to the students as they pursue their future studies at college.
Sally’s outstanding work with the students has gained the attention of the Prince’s Trust area moderation team and Sally is recognised as an excellent practitioner.
