ÇéÉ«ÎåÔÂÌì achieves 'Outstanding School' in National Textiles competition
ÇéÉ«ÎåÔÂÌì recently achieved the status of 'Outstanding School' in a National Textiles competition.
The school received this award as a result of the Head of the Technology Faculty, Mrs Firth, submitting 11 entries from students. These were all judged to be of a consistently good standard (including a 'Highly Commended’ and a ‘Merit’ award). The brief was to design a product with a clear function for a specific target market with the additional challenge that it had to fit into a small tin.The judges commented that all of the products were very different from each other, and many were unusual and challenging.
Individual prizes were awarded to Year 10 student Elena Rossetti, who was highly commended, and Louisa Grieco, who achieved a merit award.
Congratulations to the award winning students and to the Technology Faculty on this success!
